About me
My name is Mark Wang. You may know me because:
- I'm a game programmer at a major video game company working on
graphics and visual effects for some
cool upcoming games for the latest consoles.
- I live in Shanghai, China
now.
- I used to be a software engineer at E.piphany and worked on some
dope software that's basically changing the way businesses
do marketing to their customers.
- I attended
Stanford University. (go class of 1999!)
- I was a
CS Master's student, and an undergraduate major as well.
- I was a
math minor.
- I worked in the past in the Computer
Graphics laboratory at Stanford, on the
RIVET
project.
- You worked on a project with me.
- I was one of Pat
Hanrahan's students.
- I was in FiCS,
Fellowship in Christ at Stanford.
- I attend Great Exchange
Covenant Church on Sundays.
- I lived in Escondido Village during my graduate year.
- During the summer of 1999, I spent six weeks in China, taking Chinese
courses and teaching English to Chinese university students.
- I worked in the MineSet
group of
Silicon
Graphics doing some spicy stuff combining Artificial
Intelligence and Graphics in the summer of 1998.
- I worked in the Escher group of Microsoft in Cupertino
the summer before that.
- I did some programming work for Residential Computing
freshman and sophomore years, and helped to write a dorm printing system
for PCs.
- I went to Monta Vista
High School, and graduated in the class of
1995.
- I started our school's web site.
- I gave a demo of it to Al
Gore (who, contrary to what you may have heard, didn't invent the
net.)
- I was Ryu2 on IRC, way back when I actually used IRC.
- I was Mike
Rosenblum's freshman year roommate.
- I stole this format from Desiree
Ong

- I'm aware
of Danny Chai.
- I started to write a Java
version
of PuyoPuyo which unfortunately, is indefinitely on hold due to other
commitments.
- I was in Danny
Chai's 2:42 small group.
- I was in the Christian Sib program with Joyce Koo.
- I designed a VRML
model of my freshman dorm.
- I was a student consultant for NASA's K-12
Internet project my senior year in high school.
- I ran the FiCS UNIX
server in college.
- You know me through a mutual friend.
