The never-ending de-evolution of idiots

From this page of mine:

(BTW, apparently as a result of Google searches for Steve Saint, I get a lot of hits on this page, and a lot of random emails asking for him. While funny to read for me, in the interest of steering people away from this wrong track, please note that I am not Steve Saint, nor connected with him in any way other than as a brother in Christ. ;))

Lo and behold, what do I get in my email but this message:

Dear Mark,
I'm a documentary filmmaker working for National Geographic. I'm trying to get in touch with Steven Saint. I visited the Auca about twenty years ago and actually met his mother; and have been asked about developing a film in that area. I'd very much like to speak to him. Do you have any contact information? With kind regards
Idiot

From National Geographic, no less. I could tell she got my email from that page by checking server logs. There's an old adage in the tech support world, never underestimate the idiots out there. True that.

Update: Upon further thought, I realized that I might have been a bit harsh. I was in a crummy mood when I wrote this, and felt the need to vent somehow. Still, I wish people would please carefully read what's written somewhere before taking action.
